The values and skills learned early in life are vital building blocks for a successful adulthood, and we believe all kids deserve a strong start and a safe place to grow. Parents trust the Y’s child care programs to support and nurture their children from infancy through the teen years and help them become strong, capable and engaged young people.
YMCA Youth & Government is a national program of the YMCA that involves thousands of teens nationwide in state-organized model-government programs.
Students from every corner of the U.S. have the opportunity to immerse themselves in experiential civic engagement and to, quite literally, practice democracy.
A popular program for high school students in the Largo area has moved to the Greater Ridgecrest YMCA. Bridging the Achievement Gap or (BTAG) started this school year for grades 9-12.
Our Parents Night Out (PNO) events vary from location to location, but all provide a fun, safe place for children to play with supervision while parents take some well-deserved time off.
Help your child bridge the achievement gap and reach their full potential. Taking a break from learning during the summer months can cause kids to start the new school year off unprepared. This summer help your student enhance their skills in subjects such as reading, writing, math and science.

The Clearwater and High Point YMCA is providing a free Early Learning Readiness program for caregivers, parents and their children five and under. The Y’s program is designed to help children enter school ready to succeed and it gives parents and caregivers skills to encourage learning.
